Compass Calibration¶
All internal and external magnetometers that are connected to the Pixhawk will be configured in the process of calibrating the compass
Calibration Steps¶
- Open the app QGroundControl and connect the vehicle by the wire to the computer’s usb.
- Select the Gear icon (Vehicle Setup) in the top toolbar and then Sensors in the sidebar.
- Click the Compass sensor button.
- Click OK to start the calibration.
- Place the vehicle in the indicated position of any of the images shown in red (not calibrated) let it stand and wait a moment in the chosen position. Once prompted (the orientation-image turns yellow) rotate the vehicle around the specified axis in either/both directions. Once the calibration is complete for the current orientation the associated image on the screen will turn green.
- Repeat the calibration process for all vehicle orientations.
